Lil Xavi PG 4 months agoGood Luck I remember during covid it took them a year to finally reach out to me just to hold on to all of the money I waited for and telling me its to late to claim it. Can you imagine dreading to call a place because you know the service is completely garbage you have a much better chance at getting hired by dinosaurs then to get through to these people and Beacon one is completely trash!! Then they got like 10 different forms of ID verification its like you are really better off, Offing yourself if you lose your job and have to go through these people. Let alone how impossible it is to find a job.
Peter 4 months agoThey didn't even send my 1099-G. When I emailed them to request it, the email was automatically rejected. BEACON is, without competition, by far the worst piece of online trash I have ever had to deal with. It doesn't recognize the email address they used to send me communications.
Linda Jefferson 6 months agoIt’s sad that you have to jump through hoops to get help, Md unemployment is set up to make think that something is wrong with you. First with the Beacon portal not is not user friendly AT ALL.. to the extreme long wait time to get answers. The rude customer service agents. They want you to look for work but you have bills to can’t do if you can’t pay your phone or internet bills and you manage to get an interview how are you going to get there without bus or gas money. Next up contacting my local state representative… trying to stay civil pray for me
Kovski B 2 months agoI had a very frustrating experience with my unemployment claim process. After completing my in-person verification, I attempted to follow up and was met with unprofessional behavior, including having my call abruptly ended. Shortly after, my claim was denied without a clear explanation that I could properly address. Because of this decision, my expected payments were stopped, which has now caused serious issues with my bank account, including restrictions placed by Bank of America. This has created real financial hardship for me and my family. I am currently appealing this decision and hope the matter is reviewed fairly and thoroughly. I also hope steps are taken to improve communication and professionalism so others do not go through the same situation.
Kailykail 3 months agoWas discharged from the navy under the transgender military ban. They initially told me my military wages couldn’t be used, so I called and asked why. I waited 30m on hold before requesting a call back. Lady calls back a minute later. Asks how she can help. I explain the issue. She asks to put me on hold. I end up waiting another 30m before someone else picks up. Apparently she transferred me to the fraud department without telling me, likely because my voice doesn’t match my name, which is an unacceptable reason to transfer someone there. (I’m transgender) I explained my frustration with the new person, and he transferred me back to the claims department, where I waited ANOTHER 30m on hold. The new person answered my questions, and I hung up. I get a text the next day saying a new correspondence is available. I log in, and they tell me my claim is denied because I didn’t complete my first full term of service in the navy, which I couldn’t, due to the ban on transgender service members. They claim I’m not a veteran for this reason, which is absolutely false. I completed the service I was allowed to complete, and I completed it honorably.
