This is the 1st location I visited and the 2nd was eastern ave which was just as bad. They were not helpful. The person at the front desk went back and forth with me for over 5 minutes on why I couldn’t attend the southwest briefing that I registered for. Only due to me being persistent I was able to attend the briefing. It took over 30 mins to get my account resetup (I hadn’t used the system since 2013) due to a full classroom of people looking on the computer for work and training being assisted by one employee. In person, they only refer you to the website. Why do they have an expensive building and all these employees for the people and Community they don’t help. The old unemployment office sat down with you, giving you current job openings and trainings with point of contact people. These centers are so disconnected from the people, their purpose and vision. The career centers are unhelpful! They ALL should be paid according to the people they serve!

Another review on here summed it up pretty well. This place isn't very helpful. They give you a directory of programs from different schools, some are reputable while others seem to be for-profit scam institutions, that they *may* fund if they can find the financing and offer a few credits or, at best, a certification. There's no advantage in coming here if you have access to the net or close to a public library. The only positive thing I have to say is that all of the staff I encountered here were friendly and tried their best with what they were given.

The secretary was very rude and didn’t want to do her job she just wanted to push me out of there .the rest of the employees were very helpful. I would recommend going somewhere else

I applied here for a job with the Baltimore City Office of Employment Development. The interview went well, but the City botched the notifications about my acceptance of the position, and then turned it into a political problem to try and get me to complain to the Mayor's office. The people I met at this job center were nice, but frankly, I think Baltimore City government hiring has a racism problem, amongst others..
