This group has helped me and my business tremendously with clarity, coaching, training and more. I was even able to receive a grant through Office Max that has helped me purchase the resources that I needed to market and run my business. My husband and I also attended their housing seminar and are now homeowners. The people are really nice and they truly care about your progress.

Due to a change in jobs and a salary cut in 2025 I fell behind on my mortgage payments in the months of December that ran over into January and February of 2026. I only had $800 of the $1210 that was due for the monthly payment in December. I fell behind worried about what would I do next in January on the fifth I reached out to Urban League of Atlanta and I spoke to a Mr. Tony Jean Louise. Looking back on it now it was all ordained by God for His glory. Mr. Jean-Louis sent me the documents that I needed to submit however, I did not submit those paperwork requested immediately, I instead contacted my mortgage company to inform them of my financial hardship at the moment, so I delayed on sending in the paperwork. On February 8th my manager said that I know someone at Urban League of Atlanta and they might be able to help me however that was not what God intended all our calls were unanswered and nor returned. My manager then said she knows a gentleman by the name of Tony that works there (not knowing that is the gentleman that I had spoken with in January). Fast forward to February 20th, 2026 Mr. Jean-Louis set an appointment for he and I to go over my assessment, we spent a little over an hour and a half where he explained what my options were and stated that the modification loan would be best and that he would reach out to the mortgage company on my behalf with my permission to see what they can do to assist me in this moment of hardship to regain control to my monthly payments. He also said that most times the mortgage company will approve the loan modification for three months or up to six months. Before we ended our call after the assessment was completed Mr. Jean Louise suggested we reach out to the mortgage company. The mortgage company to our surprise had approved me for a loan modification request four days prior to our call and the greatest part is I have been approved for 36 months! Not 3 months or 6 months but 36! My monthly payments has now been reduced from $1,210 to $971 a month and not only that but my 1st payment will begin on April 1st, 2026. Nobody but God and his perfect timing. I don’t know how it would’ve worked out if I had submitted those papers in January or if I had waited till March but what I do know is, when God says yes, nobody can say no, that today February 20 was the day that God ordained for me to reach out to Mr. Jean-Louise from Urban League of Atlanta For Assistance with my mortgage payment payments. It was smooth and Mr. Jean-Louis made the encounter a pleasant one. Thank you Mr. Tony and thank you Urban League of Atlanta for your continued service you provide in aide those facing hardship! I attended the Financial Empowerment and Economic Resilience Center (FEERC) Orientation to learn more about the services and resources that the Urban League of Atlanta offers. I was surprised that they offer a broad range of services and resources for individuals, families, youth and businesses. I am excited to engage to receive these FREE services and resources.

I highly recommend the Urban League. The staff is amazing. Ebony has been a God send. Very professional and at the same time personable. Very quick with services. The Urban League has so much to off our community by providing services that will help each family and person be successful. Thank you so much!!!!
