My experience with Crawford Thomas Recruiting started positively but ultimately reflected very poorly on the company. I was recruited by Andy Stecker, who stated during my interview that my background aligned perfectly with the role and my career goals. I received written confirmation that I had been formally submitted to the client with an agreed-upon, negotiated salary that was within the stated budget for the role. I was also led to believe that communication and updates would follow. I trusted that representation. After that point, all communication stopped. Despite multiple follow-up attempts by email and voicemail, I received no response, no update, and no closure. What makes this particularly concerning is that the role remains open and Andy continues to actively recruit for the same position, yet no explanation or follow-up was ever provided. Being told you are an ideal fit, formally submitted, aligned on compensation, and then ignored reflects poorly on professionalism and accountability. Recruiting outcomes are never guaranteed, but transparency and professional courtesy are not optional. This experience felt dismissive and avoidable, and I would caution candidates to proceed carefully if clear expectations are set without follow-through.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Pate Slater. I am not one to usually write reviews but I feel compelled to in this instance. Pate and his team kept me informed every step of the way offering guidance and motivation throughout my entire interview process. Even now that I have started my new role, he is still reaching out to check in. It means so much to have a recruiter who is so personable, eager to help, and puts in genuine effort. 10/10 would recommend working with Crawford Thomas.

After letting them know I did not want to wait weeks for a response, that's exactly what happened. At first they reached out through email and text, then nothing. When I reached out they claimed I should have received an e-mail more than a week ago, but I never did. It would have taken two seconds to reach out by text like they were doing before to let me know the company moved on, but they decided not to. It wasn't until I reached out to them after not hearing back that they told me about an email I never received.
