The Addison Group initially seemed like a relief during my job search journey, but ultimately they let me down like a bad date by ghosting me. I first met with one of the recruiters, who was pleasant and communicated well. I felt relieved, as I was eager to find a job that would allow me to apply my skills and experience. However, my experience took a turn when I interviewed with Madison. That interview felt very manufactured; if you didn’t say the right things or tell her what she wanted to hear, she would just look at her computer and click away. After that conversation, my job search came to a halt—not by my choice, but because I was ghosted. There was no follow-up, nothing at all! They had claimed they would be in touch and looked forward to working with me, but then I heard nothing. Even ignored my emails. It became clear that they prioritize their clients over job seekers. As I realized, if you don’t fit their picture, you’re left as nothing but tarnished ashes. How do you sleep at night knowing people were relying on you? Just to be a disappointment's and completely not honor the oath of the company. People life and mental health are affected by the false advertising of this company. Thanks for having me write two pages for the job questions just to be ignored.

Two years ago, I moved to DC with hopes of finding professional employment. The Senior Recruiter reached out to me to schedule a phone call the next day. I replied but did not receive a response for days. I thought that was odd. I was then told to make a phone appointment. I chose a day through her scheduler. I rescheduled but no call from her. I left a voicemail. This is not the first time I have been let down by staffing agencies. They give you the run around and leave you with high hopes. At this point, I have given up on staffing agencies and need to pursue self-employment. Apparently, my two master's degrees are not competitive enough for the current DC landscape. A degree is nothing without connections and networking. I suppose only JD/MBA/MD receive livable salaries in today's market or gain the attention of recruiters. Long term unemployment is the new norm, but I never thought I would be in such a predicament and the thought of going back for more education seems not only daunting but risky. It's a scary time to live in. I believe staffing agencies should do their due diligence. talk to a potential job seeker and don't have them expect a call then not receive it. These are hard times, and you are essentially in the business of bridging connections between employers and an individual's livelihood. Make it a good experience. This was another bad impression.

I’ve been with Addison Group since 2018 and have not been disappointed. The recruiter that I work with, Lauren Heintze is the best!! She listens and gives great advice, is upbeat and very nice. I appreciate being a part of their team!
