It took five years while applying for ssi to finally get to the court date. My case worker was supposed to be my representative. And he withdrew a few days before the court date without any notification to me or supplying any of the information that he was holding onto regarding my case that I would have needed for a lawyer. He works for the government he gets paid to help me and yet he is now requesting EXTRA pay from me for services that are provided for free by his office. MICHAEL B HARRIS is an aweful caseworker dont let him represent you! He has no compassion for the people he is supposed to be helping and shrugs off any request for help.

I haven't done EBT in about almost 10 years, things got kinda rough for me and I'm thankful for the resources, people hate on people getting EBT, but people need to eat, instead of investing in more nuclear weapons, this is a better investment. No one should go hungry, thanks workers, I know that job could be stressful

I’m not really sure so I want to be careful and give it 3 stars. The office is bleak - but it doesn’t have to be that way. The office on Harrison street is also a San Francisco human services agency office, and it’s quite nice. You’re allowed to keep your bags with you, or at least that’s my experience, and security guards and store employees follow me around in stores sometimes, even though I’m light skinned (so hopefully other people are allowed to keep their bags with them at the human services agency at Harrison street, but I’m not sure if any of the offices are friendly to unhoused people). Anyways, the human services agency on mission street - the one near market street (not the other mission street office: the 3120 mission street one) - you’re told you need to leave your bags to the side and no one really watches them. So you might be better off going to the 1440 Harrison street office or the 3120 mission street office. The Otis street office is the office that helps people with kids, I think?

I feel like this place could be a hit or miss, and BOY I WAS ABSOLUTELY LUCKY. My life was seriously on the line, recovering from violence and was in search of a shelter or just anywhere where I can be safe. They helped me get an ID, a shelter, food stamps and ALOT OF RESOURCES. I think here, depending on who you talk to, your experience might be incredibly frustrating or it can hit the nail right on the head. Thank you guys for saving my life 😎✌❤
