After living in Canada for 4 years, it was time for me to head back home to the Bay Area. After applying to over 300 places, I was a stressed out mess trying to plan an international move AND get new employment set up. Cameron C. called me because I applied to a simple ad that looked....well simple. He was clear in letting me know about the company and the position available and it was a real match! His honesty, energy and communication throughout the entire process was a breath of fresh air and I am truly grateful for him. I never once felt like I was getting the "wool pulled over my eyes" or any sleezy car salesmen vibes. Just pure interest in helping his client find the best person for the position available. Cameron and I have stayed in touch for several years and one thing always stuck out to me. He knows his client and learns about the potential candidate. Cameron is one of two recruiters I would always answer the phone for. He adds value for his clients and potential candidates. He doesn't just "float this one by you" to see if you're a fit. He doesn't try to shoehorn you into a role you aren't meant for. That's a recipe for disaster and he knows that about his role in the process and the placement industry in general. Cameron is an asset and your advocate. He is responsive and provides insight into the company, the interview panel, and the position. He prepares candidates for the interview by interviewing you himself first. If you don't pass his sniff test, he won't put you in front of his client. He won't try to spin negatives into positives or weaknesses into strengths just so he can get paid. Cameron presented a compelling case for why I should change companies after nearly nine years, which says a lot for his knowledge and understanding of the industry and how I fit in the bigger picture. I can't recommend Cameron highly enough. Five stars feels like an insult to the practice he has built and the effort he puts into filling not just positions for his clients, but significant roles for them.
