We endured a really bad experience at Harpoon Larry's restaurant tonight July 25 2018. We waited for Hostess to seat us,but no one acknowledged us. So,we sat down at a table. After a while we asked passing waiter for someone to help us. A young waitress came with menus and took our drink orders. Three waters. When she came back we ordered a cheeseburger for our 7 year old,steamed platter of three mussels,three oysters and shrimp and dozen wings and order of mussels. Within a half hour part of our order came. Mussels and steamed platter. The 3 mussels and 3 oysters were the smallest I have ever seen. Being very hungry we ate mussels and *oysters". At that point I ordered beer,one. Also,I complained I couldn't eat the shrimp, because they were not deveined before they were cooked. I tried to devein one cooked shrimp,but it fell apart without coming clean. At this point we asked to talk to manager. A woman appeared and I explained our dissatisfaction. She said I wouldn't be charged for steamed platter. At which point I ordered fish sandwich. Meanwhile the cheeseburger for our 7 year old and the wings never came during the next hour of waiting,nor did the fish sandwich. Exhausted from the whining from hungry 7 year old and poor service and poor quality of the food that was delivered we made the decision to leave. I left $9.00 cash on table. 3.00 for advertised beer and 5.99 for mussels. While leaving the manager followed me outside saying we hadn't paid for our food. I said I did pay for what we got. He then insisted I owed 12.88 total. I said I left$9.00 on table, therefore the difference is $3.88. I only had $20.00 bill so I gave that to him. Then he keep insisting the nine dollars he gave me from the table was my change. I used my phone calculator to show him I was owed $18.12. He wouldn't or couldn't understand that. So,by now I am hungry and angry at being taken advantage of. I.E. robbed! So,I called the police. By the time they arrived and I explained the entire ordeal to them,now the manager is insisting I pay for entire bill for food that we ordered an hour and a half ago. Which was now supposedly ready. The police sided with the manager,so I had no choice but to pay $31.00 for the $9.00 or $12.88(depending on which person told us)worth of food we actually did get. Is this the way tourists are treated in your vacation destination? For the 780 miles I drove to get here I could have driven to Panama City Beach! Where the sand is white,the water blue and the businesses treat us way,way better! I will never come back here and I will tell everyone on Facebook and Google not to waste their time and money coming to Virginia Beach. Unless I receive apology and full refund from Harpoon Larry's. I was so upset by the time I joined family across the street I couldn't eat. So,here it is after midnight I am hungry

Greetings, Myself and quite a few others met this past year at the Ramada Ocean Front in VA Beach and had the time of our lives. Our plan in 2016 was to do it again. However, Virginian's new ruling on gun carry permits rules it out as most of us are from out of state. Many of my friends, as well as those, have chosen to go to Gatlinburg TN since Tennessee welcomes us there. I look forward to returning to Virginia once the state government removes it's liberal agenda. Thank you and have a great day.

It used to be a fun place to go no matter where you were coming from, but unfortunately Corporate America again has managed to ruin even that, unfortunately all that they care about is making sure that they make as much money as possible never thinking about the people that made Virginia beach, what it's today a place where everyone can find something to enjoy but today if you really want to enjoy or even get a nice place to stay you need to rob a bank ones again thank to CORPORATE AMERICA , there's no need for those outrageous prices, ill just have to stay closer to home until I hit the lottery or guess what.

Great venue but not enough parking and this was before they cut the parking in half for this new building they are working on.
