I have been in Ohio now for nearly 3 years. Shortly after arriving, I got everything I needed. Thankful for that, HOWEVER... trying to deal with them by phone or speak with a live person is a nightmare! Wait times are continually 300 minutes! I have a scheduled call today between 8-11 and have been on hold for over 1 hour. Could loose everything if I miss the appointment or if they do not make the appointment by answering the phone. Their "PORTAL" is useless to me. I sent all of the documents directly by Email in person, seems effective-like downloading it at their "facility". Receiving them is all well and good, everything there after. Questionable. They are Johnny on the spot reaching out by mail or when they telling you they want more from you. And then...A JOKE. Workers need to actually do there job after you've submitted all your documents.. You call and they say oh we see them and we'll get right on it. Call and check status in 48 hours. If course it says no documents were reviewed in last 1 days.. Just sad

Why set phone appointments when these people don't ever answer the phones?? I was supposed to have a phone appointment between 10-11 AM, and I've been sitting on hold for over an hour waiting now, with no response. How am I supposed to get help with benefits if I can't ever get through on the phone??? And you get penalized for "missing," the phone appointment if you don't get through, even though they're the ones not answering! This is SO frustrating, they make it impossible to access these resources! How ANYONE in Ohio gets Medicaid is a mystery to me, because they seem determined not to help you get it! I moved here from Colorado, and I'm really regretting that choice.

negative stars! Sent out a notice of renewal application with a list of 6 documents that need to be submitted sent letters out on 5/4 letter received in mail box 5/7 documents need to be submitted by 5/11. I have literally one full business day to get all the documents together before Monday and I work all day Friday. What genius came up with this time frame

If I can give them no stars I would absolutely ridiculous ! I call and I have to wait 300 minutes so I do the call back for the next day then they call me and then I have to wait an hour then they ended up hanging up on me so I ended up calling the next day again same thing happened. When I finally got a hold of them they gave me back my food stamps but they gave me the runaround. They don't even really look at what you send them properly... You have to double check everything that you do because they're not checking accurately.... I'm so done with this government... They're changing their standards to make it even more strict and harder for people to snap or Medicaid!
