Queen OfChaosDnB 4 months agoMy bill kept increasing substantially over a 4 month period of time, indicating a leak. I live in a condo community which shares multiple community lines. I made multiple online inquiries only to get no response, in addition to multiple phone calls with holds over 2+ hours with no answer over that 4 month period with no response to have someone come check the meter. There is absolutely no way to contact anyone. We called the emergency line and eventually a representative came out to check our meter/lines and they couldn’t detect if the problem was a city or residential problem. They couldn’t give us a resolution for our next steps and there was no communication. We even went down to the water company in person with our bills and information only to be told to fill out a form and they would contact us, which they never did. They want us to pay the bill in full, so we sent a CERTIFIED LETTER to which we received no reply.
Maggie Simenc 3 months agoI have been trying to get my water turned off since 1/13/2026. My main water shut off valve inside the house is actively leaking and getting worse. Our plumber literally cannot fix it until the water is turned off and warned us that Cleveland Water is notorious for taking MONTHS to turn off water even when there are emergencies like this. I have called the emergency line every time to no avail: 1/13/26 (was on hold for over 15 minutes before being connected with anyone), 1/15/26, 1/19/26, 1/20/26, 2/4/26, 2/11/26,3/4/26, 3/9/26, 3/18/26 and again today 3/25/26. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt back in January when everything was frozen over, but it's now March and we STILL haven't had anyone turn off our water. I've left multiple messages on the dept managers voicemail as well when the emergency line transferred me there. They came out on 1/15/26 but I was told that they didn't have the proper equipment to even find the shut off (and even asked me if I knew where it was! How does the city not know where the main shut offs are??) and would have to put in a work order. I had to call several times for a follow up and they came back on 1/20/26 with different equipment, they never got the water turned off and didn't even inform us and just left the premises without a word. They came out again on 2/12/26 and again didn't tell us what was going on, didn't shut off the water and left without a word. It's been over 3 MONTHS of us trying to get our water turned off. This service costs money for something we haven't even successfully had completed. The water leak is causing damage which I'm sure Cleveland Water won't even cover. I haven't received a single call for updates. I was once told that our request wasn't even in the system until I started giving specific dates and times when I called. This is so unacceptable.
carol jones a year agoUPDATE!!! Cleveland water customer service is outstanding!!!Our cap was replaced yesterday. Our community thanks you and your workers from the bottom of our hearts for adding to the safety in our neighborhood. Keep up the great work serving our communities!💦 We have called regarding a missing water cap in our division. The customer service has been outstanding and they have taken our request but unfortunately every time the division comes out, they indicate they weren’t able to find the missing cap. Our fingers are crossed that this time you are able to locate it!!! Thank you in advance!!!!! Some photos attached to assist!💦
Black Beauty 2 months agoAngry, mad that they’re at work, customer service representatives! How are you going to get an attitude because you have to answer the phone and DO THE JOB YOU’RE GETTING PAID TO DO?! Make it make sense! I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with them again! DO BETTER!
Christopher Hagen a month agoPerfect example of a business who's business model is to provide zero customer service because they don't have to earn customer trust, loyalty, and sales because we all need access to water and don't have another option besides Cleveland water. Absolutely disgusting business entity.
