Proceed with extreme caution if your livelihood is on the line. Beacon Hill Staffing reached out to me about a Junior SOC Analyst role supporting the Federal Reserve Bank. I initially interviewed in March and was passed over for a more senior candidate. In September, Beacon Hill contacted me again stating the role had reopened and the client urgently needed someone. After being passed on a second time, I was then told two weeks later that the client specifically wanted me and offered a five month contract with the possibility of extension. At the time, I was already employed. I made it clear I would not leave my current role unless this position required exclusivity. Beacon Hill explicitly told me the role had to be my sole assignment. Based on their assurances and confidence in the placement, I resigned from a job I did not want to leave. I completed the required clearance process and received conditional approval. Beacon Hill repeatedly assured me that as long as nothing extreme appeared in my background check everything should be fine. Less than a week after starting my access to the FRB was abruptly revoked due to adverse action related to the background check with no meaningful transparency provided. It later became clear that Beacon Hill had submitted an outdated version of my resume stating that I held a bachelor’s degree. Early in the process I had intentionally removed that language and provided an updated resume specifically to avoid any misinterpretation since I attended college but did not complete a degree. Despite this correction being communicated in advance the outdated resume was still sent to the client and used in the clearance process directly contributing to the issue. To add insult to injury I later learned that the previous candidate for this same role experienced a similar clearance failure. Knowing this it is extremely concerning that Beacon Hill still advised me to resign from stable employment without disclosing the risk or exercising greater diligence. Throughout the process I kept Beacon Hill fully informed and was repeatedly reassured that if the role fell through they would assist in placing me elsewhere. Once I was officially let go and contacted my recruiter immediately I received no response at all. No follow up. No assistance. Complete silence right before the holidays. Beacon Hill’s lack of diligence transparency and accountability directly cost me my job and financial stability. If you choose to work with them verify every document they submit on your behalf get everything in writing and do not leave existing employment based solely on their assurances. ***UPDATE*** The company responded to my original review asking me to email them so they could investigate the situation. I complied immediately. That was before Christmas. Weeks later, there has been zero response or follow up. At this point, the lack of communication speaks for itself and confirms the concerns raised in my original review.

I was working with Ellie French at Beacon Agencies to help me find a job, but after over 2 months, I still haven’t been placed anywhere. Communication was inconsistent, and I rarely got updates unless I reached out first. I was really hoping for better follow-up and support from their team.

After being displaced by WF in March, I began my journey looking for a new opportunity. When I was contacted by Tyler Fay at Beacon Hill, I was, of course, skeptical based on my past experiences with recruiters. What a breath of fresh air he was. He was engaged, knowledgeable, communicative, and supportive. After the first interview, he called and we talked about it in length, as he gave me advice for the next round... which apparently worked, as I received an offer a few days after the second interview! I appreciate everything they've done so far.

Have the pleasure of dealing with them on a business to business contract within the company. The steps they took to take care of a bereaved partner was incredible. I'm pretty sure Richard Branson said something along the lines of if you take care of your employees, they will take care of the customer. And I 100% believe they run this company the same way. Awesome people

My experience with Beacon Hill has been phenomenal. Ellie French is the recruiter that I work with and I must say she is amazing at what she does. She was very polite and professional and made sure she understood what I was looking for.
