Sabrina Pfeilmeier 5 months agoCalled to be helped with setting it up for first time and lady belittled me and gabe me a phone number before hanging up. Unprofessional and rude.
Charmaine Lopes 8 months agoJackie and Adam Goldman are fantastic! I called with a few generic questions and not only were they both eager to assist, but they seamlessly made what I thought was going to be an hour long, frustrating conversation into a quick, informative 5-minute discussion. Thank you for all that you do! ***PLEASE NOTE: THEY ARE NOT THE UNEMPLOYED OFFICE. They do not make any decisions regarding your claim, denials, or your weekly benefit determination amount. They are a community based nonprofit that supports unemployed and impoverished people with resources to navigate the unemployment process and work toward becoming gainfully employed.
J. Hollingsworth 10 months agoA young man assisted me, and he was both polite and professional. Thank you kindly, sir. This service is much appreciated. They won't solve all problems but they definitely assisted to the best of their capabilities! (FYI I visited in person)
Junior 7 months agoUnemployment is very unfair. Make sure you do not show up without a lawyer because they will allow your employer to lie and then tell you, you needed to have proof but it's too late after your in the hearing already so this is a trap, My employer changed the reason for my termination during my appeal hearing and the referee Let it go I filed for an appeal and they said I should have brought a lawyer in and subpoenaed the footage before the court date, which is impossible If I didn't know they were going to lie and change the reason for termination. How the hell was I supposed to know what to subpoena? If they said it was a customer complaint and then changed it at the appeal, hearing to me going after another employee. The individuals involved in this whole scenerario from Employer to Referee in my opinion is so corrupt. Board of review took five months to side with the.Referee, and said I should have subpoenaed the video footage to prove my innocence. When I requested my transcript from the hearing knowing they lied, they got so upset at the Northampton office that I received my decision The very next day which is unheard of!!! When I called the unemployment office to see why it's taken so long, a supervisor called me back and laughed at me on the phone. They have no feelings, they are heartless. This is the world we live in now!
Alex Allen 9 months agoSpoke to a guy here a couple weeks ago who was super helpful and told me to call the number back if my unemployment got denied so we could work on an appeal. Called today and got the most needlessly rude, unhelpful receptionist I've spoken to in a while- and as a person who has been battling the benefits system for weeks, that's saying something. Refused to listen to me, continuously interrupted me to tell me I was looking for the unemployment office (I wasn't), and then interrupted me again as I was trying to explain to tell me she was just going to throw me to a voicemail since she didn't want to deal with me. Seriously, get another job.
