Recruiter Ashlyn Cusick scheduled a call with me, did not show up, and then unilaterally moved the call to later in the afternoon without consulting me after missing the original time. First impressions matter, and this experience reflected a lack of professionalism and respect for candidates’ time. If this is how the process operates before you even begin working together, it raises concerns about what ongoing communication might look like. I’d encourage others to read additional reviews and decide for themselves.

I received a call from Oak tree staffing company about a job. The person on the line was very rude to me. He asked if I was interested in a fully remote position and then inquired how long it had been since I was last employed. I told him my most recent job was a year ago. He responded that the company didn't want someone who had been out of work for almost a year and asked why I hadn't had a job since then. I said, 'There are no job opportunities here.' He said I have worked for this company for 12 years. I recommend not using this staffing company because of how rude this staffing agent was.

Recieved a call about a job. Was going well until I got a follow up email in which I was to allow them to represent me in trying to get this job. Which is great but that isn't how the recruiter spoke on the phone. She intimated they had a position with a company they were trying to fill which was simply not true. They found a job on a job board and were simply trying to get a fee if I was selected. To me this is scummy.

OakTree Staffing was great to work for and with. They found the perfect fit for me in a contract position and were very supportive when I went full time. All during my contract period they were in touch and quick to get back with me on insurance questions and benefits. Heidi Winterberg was excellent support as my recruiter and Cassie Rhea was great to work with on HR matters. I would recommend OakTree and these two professionals with hesitation.

I spoke with one of their employees, working with them for a contacting job elsewhere, it seemed like it was going good and I was told to expect a phone call from the hiring manager, but then I was ghosted. Tried emailing and calling back to no avail. I would prefer to be told that I wasn't suited to the job or something of that nature, rather than just ghosted. Wouldn't recommend.
