I saw the reviews and was worried but I honestly didn't have a bad experience calling. If things change I'll update this, but they gave me the option to wait in cue for a call-back, which they did almost to the minute estimated, and they resolved the issue very quickly. The lady I was talking to was polite and thorough the whole time. Nothing to complain about.

This is one of the worst experiences ever! No communication no one knows anything. I’m being told I have to wait a Month or more to get someone on my case to appeal the fact that I have transportation! Is absurd ! When not having transportation shouldn’t be a disqualification when it’s several bus routes an trains in my county. No one reached out to confirm or do an additional interview, until after my benefits were cut ! An that was to “update” my profile. Now when ppl doing something crazy it’s on us when we asking an calling for help. Why not offer bus vouchers a discount something to ensure ppl get to an from. Me having to wait for potentially more than a month is causing me to miss out of job opportunities. The NC works number is not working ! An im advised to go in office yet how bc my benefits are cut, an gas money isn’t cheap. I have 2 bus stops on my block and etc so this is the most ridiculous reason an most outrageous to have a person waiting dor over ! A month to just tell someone I have a ride is insane. If you need works offer the work to the unemployed make it make sense. I need help an I need someone to assist me as if it was them or they family member. The question was not detailed or clear an I an my child are suffering for months

I received an overpayment determination based on payroll reporting for a week in which no services were performed. The issue appears to be wage processing timing versus actual work performed. I’ve had to file an appeal to correct what seems to be a factual error. Hoping the review process applies the substantial evidence standard carefully. Workers deserve accurate determinations.

They don’t help you. If you out of work whether you are terminated or laid off. It’s your money you put in but they act like it’s their money and if you out of work, a person needs to survive still. Employers can document and fabricate anything because they have the resources and lawyers. Yall have people contributing to do weekly certification and still tell them they not eligible… maybe not the whole period but you get the same results every week.

Not only were they completely usless during the pandemic, but I was laid off 64 day ago and still haven't gotten an unemployment check because they still have my account locked from the pandemic. I just reported them to the dept of justice! Day 86 still no check despite being approved. The level of incompetence is astounding. Causing financial hardship making me live on high interest credit cards.
