As someone with a Master's degree, this place could be doing better at supporting all job seekers. I had reached out to this location a couple of months back since I needed help in finding employment due to my last position being let go because of the contract. The job coach I was assigned was not only unhelpful, but when I tried to follow back up the next day with the resources, he was supposed to email me, he had an attitude and try to talk to me condescending. I decided to terminate my services and look at other resources that would help me in the job search. It was unacceptable and unprofessional. Edit to previous review: Gave this place another try and will say that the service that I received this time was exemplary, professional, and person-centered. The assistant director was patient with me and helped me to get reestablish with services through the agency. Got assigned another job coach which was helpful because this person was able to walk me through the process and also identifying different employment resources within my field and related field as well.

DO NOT seek assistance from anyone at this location. I am a veteran and they allegedly have a program and liaison for veterans to talk with and aid in finding employment. Well, I got the run-around and was never given any useful information. I attempted using this service as I was moving closer to completing my MBA. I inquired about a certification for Lean Six Sigma and was told that I didn't qualify for the assistance because I had not applied for employment and been refused and specifically advised that I needed that specific certification by an employer. But also, in order to obtain assistance, I would have to provide my resume (no problem) and a list of other documents, then write an essay requesting the assistance. Keep in mind that just a few years ago, this is an agency that returned millions of dollars in federal funding that could have been used to help the community (i.e. certification course). The website is extremely hard to navigate even for someone who is computer literate and the front desk and everyone else at this location is utterly useless.

Great place for resume help! Work shops for interviews and career readiness. A lot of trade programs 100% funded based on availability. If your new to the area seeking a career or change this is the place. A must come for all ages!

When I first went in I was welcomed, they were helpful and I felt relieve. I was offered food stamps and to apply to unemployment. I accepted the food stamps but did not want unemployment. I wanted a job. So made an appointment with a counselor who was suppose to help. A week and a half latter I meet Shae Whit… something. She was condescending and tried to make me feel bad for my position. She wanted to know why I got food stamps. I walked out. Came back to ask for another counselor. Told I could not have one. It was a waste of time! I went to Greensboro and walked in to the career works and have had help ever since. They suggested file unemployment and have helped me in every possible way. Amazing the difference. The Raleigh center told me they would get in touch with me about the possibility of another counselor. Never heard from them. Be prepared guys to find another center for help.
