I accidentally marked that I was incarcerated and then I didn't receive benefits for the week. So I called and explained the situation that I have never been incarcerated and it was accidentally marked that way. Now I'm being told that I have to wait 2-3 weeks for my claim to be examined and corrected, how the heck do they expect me to get to interviews with no income to supply my vehicle with fuel or even catch a bus while I wait for the decision? This is pretty petty and poor service for people who are trying to get employment!

Been on hold for an hour and a half now. There is no longer an option to leave a message for them to call you back. Can't log in to file a claim it says password is incorrect and it won't send an email when I click forgot password. So frustrating. I'm going to have to drive all the way there but I'm not sure if they close at noon still or f they are back to normal hours

Every time I call I hold for two hours. I got a person who told be to call back the next day just to tell them that my ID was uploaded. I held on for two hours today 12/05/23 to get a recording saying there having technical issues and to try back later conviently at noon. This is completely unacceptable. Those you just hang up on are in need and can't live with the stress.

So many issues with the dept. not submitting UI claims for payment on time and then having the nerve to disqualify you for a week where you might’ve submitted a day after Sunday. Shouldn’t matter when I submit if I don’t even get the money on time in the first place. They also take 2-3 hours to pick up the phone when you call. Most recently they waited until our city was due to be overcome by a snow storm and freezing cold temps with a holiday also on a Monday to submit my payments. Now I have to wait even longer to go to the store and buy food for my dog. I recently got a new job thank God so I will be receiving regular paychecks again but for the 3 months I was on UI while transitioning this ordeal has been a nightmare. Prayers for anyone who hasn’t found new employment yet I hope you find it soon, the state government and general government suck. They are not considerate of peoples need to eat, pay bills etc. this is the wrong time economically to be playing with peoples money and ability to pay for basic necessities. Can’t wait until America falls off everything about how we operate sucks.

If you have genuine questions and concerns that you pursue, they will just stop communication with you. Christopher Reed did this to me causing me to get a fail to appear. His auto-email suggested i reschedule which was what id been trying to do but he was refusing to respond. Makes no sense. The main email intake receivers will eventually ignore you too when you have stumped them with your questions. I was next in line on the phone queue but was put on hold for 37 mins-they didnt talk to me! Also, Emily told me I'd be getting backpay, told me to withdraw my appeal, I didn't get backpay so I went to reappeal but of course by then it was too late thanks to Emily. Better get an attorney on hand cause they will deny your benefits at any sliver of opportunity. As a newly homeless, single mom of 2 with a car that the catalytic converter , pipe and O2 sensor were stolen off of, they had no interest in taking any of that into consideration for why it's important to help me get my benefits. They were dead set on denial. They claim they want to address any concerns and obstacles you have yet they not only dont, they create more. If i dont have the money thats there for me(unemployment), to fix my car , how can i promise reliability and a decent availability schedule (not reliant on hitching rides from friends I haven't talked to in a long time) to an employer? They need to be held accountable. They need alternate procedures/options in place for people in atypical circumstances. They certainly did for covid, which was not even a concrete thing. Lack of transportation and vandalism are concrete. Interesting how they have NO second thoughts about pouring salt in the wounds of a person who is already hanging by a thread, but when they don't do their jobs, proven, they still get a paycheck.
