Today I had a 8:30 am appt and soon as I got there I was called and help quickly. The associate that helped was named Desiree. She was very professional and attentive to help me with my benefit filing. We always hear the bad reviews, seldom good ones. But my experience with this center was very productive. Thank you Desiree for all your help. 🌟

I don't think the amount of negative reviews are fair. The center helped me sort out an issue with my unemployment claim and provided hiring resources. Special thanks to Rudy and Lilian for providing great customer service. Note that you need an appointment to come here. They check for appointments immediately when you walk into the building, and you can't show up more than 10 minutes early. I was able to book my appointment one day prior to it.

Its been over a month since my unemployment benefits have not been submitted. They never answer the phone to assist either and their phones are off on Fridays??? Edit: Just to update after reaching out to the governor's office, I received a call back from unemployment.

Super ridiculous! I had an appointment at 1230 and you can not go in ahead of time to sit. They make you sit outside in the hallway! Then YOU NEED TO wait a whole other 1-2 hours for them to call you! I can’t believe this! I have not been unemployed in ages and just trying to get some help because the unemployment line doesn’t pick up is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a mistake on my initial unemployment claim and it sat pending for over a month. I called repeatedly and was never helped. The agents over the phone speak with thick southern accents making it hard for a Massachusetts person to understand. It also sounds like the agents are on a speaker phone or in a hallway with an echo and the phone call breaks up off and on making it extremely difficult to communicate properly. Over the phone they read off a script and give you the same answer every time you call. "You just have to wait" Well I've been down this road before years ago and they never resolved my issue of a pending dependant. It sat there for over a year until I finally, by some miracle randomly got a supervisor on the phone. So back to this time- I made my appointment at the Boston office. The only office in the entire state of Massachusetts. It took me over an hour to get there just to be turned away because "that's not their department" Excuse me what!? I explained to the employee that I had no income. He told me an adjucotor would look over it but had no timeline or solutions. "Just wait" "that's not our department" What the hell do you mean it's not your department? I'm standing in front of you at the only office in the state! Unbelievable. I left with no answers and frustrated! They simply do not care so I came home and stared googling it. I landed on a reddit page and took the advice of the others who were in the same boat. I wrote an email to the Governor's office. Two days later I had a month worth of my payments in my account. Word of advice to others in the same situation.. Wait the 30 days then write to the Governor's office on the mass.gov website. It's the only way your claim with a pending issue will get resolved because they do not care! The "customer service" is non existent, honestly it should be investigated. Good luck to all.
