Their onboarding process was a waste of my time. I was told that my references weren’t enough because my experience from 2023 and 2024 didn’t count. Are people not expected to take a break from working all the time? If I didn’t work so far in 2025, why was that held against me? When I arrived at the office, I had to go into another room with a phone and wait for someone to call me and speak to yet another person. How does this company survive with so many middlemen in the equation? Everyone in the office was really nice though. In Hawaii, onboarding with thesenurse agencies is a drawn out process and overbearing. You have to be submitted for shifts and wait to be “the chosen one”. You can’t physically see what shifts are available. Most states use apps, where you submit your documents and background check, and are immediately able to start working without talking to people or going into an office. Also, you can see what’s available and book right away, without the middleman. I wasted money going to this agency just to be told my references, one who was a supervisor, who I worked with for 8 years up until 2024, weren’t good enough. I’m gonna start a job registry app for nurses here in Hawaii and hopefully be the top competitor over this company. They still use paper timeslips for signatures to clock out of a shift. They operate like we’re still in the 1990’s… so far behind. P.S. I’ll bet everything on it that they asked/begged people to give them those 5 star reviews as far as the hiring process is concerned.

I’m currently working through Express Employment for a company in Hawaii, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Bianca has been incredibly supportive and has helped me with everything I’ve needed. Her communication and follow-through have made a big difference. So far, I truly don’t have any complaints — just positive feedback. Also, I was happy to be recognized as Employee of the Month for June, which was a really nice surprise!

First off if you have not met Amber, Amanda and Tish… you need to! First Impressions in an office mean everything and they know how to take care of their clients. I applied on Zip recruiter and with in a week they have my paperwork done and I start my new job tomorrow! As a single mother who supports herself I can not express my gratitude enough to them, they saved me from losing my home and having to stay at a shelter again! Thank you!

My experience with Express Employment recruiters Sunny and Bryant, have been excellent! I have been matched with a great company to work for. This is my first time working with an agency. They were thorough, so kind, on track with interviews, the communication between me and the recruiter were always on-point! They saw the strengths in my work experience and found me a job so quickly.
