If you have a bad toothache, go to a dental emergency clinic. It’s worth it, even if the pain after is a little uncomfortable. Be patient — healing can take time. The wait for an appointment is 1–3 weeks at many regular dental offices, and a lot of them don’t take walk-ins, don’t offer payment plans, or won’t accept patients without insurance. That is very frustrating. I finally found a community clinic through a shelter program — it was cheaper, fast, and they removed my tooth right away. Some of the staff even know basic sign language, which made communication easier for us. That was so nice — they were really kind people. Don’t wait and don’t suffer with tooth pain. It’s worth getting it taken care of. Don’t waste your time.

I am very grateful for the Sulzbacher and their dental facility (lengthy review). I broke my wisdom tooth in August of 2025, and I’d been dealing with on and off pain for months until it got so bad I knew I had to do something so that I wouldn’t get an infection. Without any dental insurance, I first decided to go to a dentist near me to get an estimate of how much it would cost. They quoted me over $4000 to remove all 4, which was beyond out of my price range. My mom then called an emergency dentist that quoted nearly $800 to remove it, which was unreal and not possible for me. By the divine intervention of God, my sister saw a woman on the news talking about how she went to the Sulzbacher and thats when it all begin. I first called to see what all I needed to do. I went in and filled out the paperwork and paid the upfront fee as well as schedule the extraction date which was only 2 weeks away. I came in today and with my nerves through the roof the Dr as well as the assistant were absolutely wonderful despite my tears and anxiety, as this was all new for me. I had the initial check up X-Ray the whole nine yards and paid the rest of the fee before following through with the extraction. The Dr walked me through it every step of the way, told me what I was going to be experiencing throughout the procedure and made it comfortable despite the pressure I felt during the procedure. Within a couple minutes my tooth was out, and the clean up process was quick. They explained how to care for it and what the healing process should be like. I appreciate the Dr’s, assistants and the women at the front counter. All so sweet and not judgemental at all, you can tell that they took pride in their work and actually care about everyone that walks in. I hope everyone there will be Blessed and safe. I’m just so happy to have finally gotten this taken care of the smooth process the Sulzbacher provided for me.

This place has been helping for those of us in need in the Jacksonville community. I have no insurance and today I was fortunate enough to have a tough pulled for a small fee. The dentist that took care of my needs and had a sincere concern for the health of my mouth and for that I'm thankful.

Thank you for taking care of my late sister Honey Brady. Sadly she passed in July, 2025. She would find refuge in many ways with this facility. Thank God for this place.

I was in a lot of pain off and on from dental issues. I just want to share my experience with the care I received from your dental clinic downtown. Dr Martin was extremely professional and compassionate! Her assistant was Amazing and my entire procedure was very successful. My teeth were broken and to the gum . The Dentist was one of the most gentler ones I’ve had yet. Thank you so much to the front desk all the way to the back to the dental chair -Five stars all the way . I’m healing nicely !
