I thought this jobcorp was gonna be the BEST but as I got here the 2nd day a staff was rude to me , the cafeteria food is a HIT or MISS , the staffs talks to you any kind of way , when you try to tell MR ford he acts like he care but in reality it goes in one ear and comes out the other one , the MINORS think they can talk to you any kind ways bc they know one wrong move we might towards them we getting in trouble . They have Jonathan as PRESIDENT but he only picks on the boys side to take up for them he never ask us girls what’s the issue about any situation. They kick people out for the MOST DUMBEST reason , they don’t care if we homeless or gotta go bck to a shelter they still gonna kick you out . The students will lie on you and makes rumors up and EVERYbody would believe it instead of asking you about the situation. I just wanna say DONT CHOOSE this job corp this is the WORSE jobcorp ever !!! CHOOSE ANY OTHER JOBCORP BUT THIS ONE 💯💯

Currently enrolled here, started my enrollment last month from sending this review. All I have to say is this: This place does do a good job with my Computer Technician training, food is... alright, and the teachers are a hit or miss... but my biggest hatred of this place must be the order here. There is so much lack of communication and confusion 24/7, everything keeps getting delayed or set back, I have now been starving since being here due to the staff failing to keep the cafetorium in order, Desperately needed packages keep getting delayed, staff personnel are all unique (Not in a good way, one can be professional- another one could just hate their job and project it onto you). The Advanced Manufacturing instructor hates his job and makes life worse, Driver's ED teacher barely does his job-- mostly just sleeping on the job (Which makes it hard to actually LEARN something that I need in this modern world). I keep finding broken or damaged things everywhere I go. Also pretty sure corporate personally doesn't like this place. People keep getting Zero Tolerance'd (Kicked out) and just outright leaving non-stop. Career Preparation Period (AKA CPP) felt like a boot camp. The last thing I have to say about Jacksonville Job Corps is: Don't come here, go to literally any other Job Corps besides this one, the food might be worse-- but it at least might be more formal and in order then here. As I said before: I haven't been able to eat properly because of disorder in the Cafe, Staff just being all over the place, and lack of communication. Another thing to add this is the mold... There is mold in so many places, in the CPP Quad, Male Quad, Female Quad, bathrooms, and so much more. This might explain why everyone is getting sick here. The Food-- It struck me that it be best to add some elaboration on the food. They lied to us about "Nutritional meals" the food is so GREASY and unhealthy it is actually sickening, I feel uneasy and off after eating some of the food, I already have stomach problems-- and hear this, after requesting for just a basic, non-greasy food (Grilled Chicken Sandwich for Lunch and Dinner instead of being able to eat other foods) they rejected it saying it would be too much to handle and asked if I would rather be on a Non-dairy and No Fried foods list.

this place was nice for certain reasons as someone who grew up in poverty but honestly it felt like the program was trying to take advantage at EVERY turn. i got what i needed and left yes, but as other people have stated; there are adults in PHYSICAL relationships with minors that the staff know about and do not care to do anything to stop. the RA staff treat the girls like borderline maids as well when it comes to cleaning that they do not hold the boys to the same standard to. the other staff members are rude and talk down to you if you have questions (as one does in a place like that). it’s seriously weird as well how they don’t like students talking about paychecks together. obviously some staff like the custodians and cafeteria employees are great and try their best with what they have, but there should be no reason EVER students are going without toilet paper FOR DAYS AND BEING TOLD TO WIPE WITH PAPER TOWELS. as for the driving instructor, mr. vrapi talking about your relationships/making comments about students that are sexual in nature/TALKING ABOUT PROSTITUTES is insane. the center director means well i’m sure but he is not capable of running a center like that period. his view and their ways of shaming students for going against anything is really odd. i would say job corps (the program) is a great idea in theory but this place itself should not be running. also the mold in the vents:( come on.

Hmmmmm where do i start? Okay first of all they got smart mouth staff that think js because they went to the military they know how hard life is. They love to downplay you when you tell your story then reflect on their own past like I didn’t ask you about your life’s story. You got minor students dating the adult students I’m talking 16 year olds dating 25 year olds like it’s insane. Then when we let the center of director know he basically says it has nothing to do with him. So you okay with these overgrown people preying on literal kids. Okay. Then they prolong every single thing, if you’re complete they’ll try keep you there longer to keep their numbers up. Even as an adult they put u on restriction of your roommates’ side of the room was not clean enough. The center of director only comes out of his office and walks around smiling like he does anything (he does nothing at all). He only comes out when corporate is on campus because he’s a coward. He complains about the brand of the campus and how he cares about it but never said anything about caring about the students. They don’t care about you, they are very controlling, they don’t separate the minors from the adults. The movies theater room is where they do most of the nasty stuff. You got this one girl they let her do anything because she’s a minor and quad leader but I believe it’s something deeper. When you wanna resign they’ll try to convince you to stay, im talking throwing out all kinds of manipulative questions. Then when u do leave they like to throw shade at business meetings call you the coward when all you wanted was freedom. Also don’t be surprised when u get here only expecting to complete your trade and they throw you in a reading or math class despite whether you have a diploma or not. Then on top of that the adults get treated like children. You cant trust no staff with your business because they are very messy. You really cannot go to anyone about your problems. They fire all the genuine staff but keep the messy ones. The staff that really did care they ended up kicking to the curb. You got minors fraternizing with the instructors. I mean he’s fired now but who’s to say it’s not still going on. The main one that needs to go is the center of director. He literally does nothing but sit in his office until corporate decides to pop up so he comes out and acting like he actually cares when he made it clear he only cares about the numbers and the brand. Then they are taking money from students because certain checks are cut very short. I feel like each check should be at least a hundred because that place takes a lot on the students’ mental health. Oh and god forbid if you pass out… there was this incident where my homegirl called us barely saying help mind u we raced from the rec to the dorms. HOW WE BEAT THE RA?! Anywho we found her unresponsive on the floor in her room and she started seizing and her feet were blue and so were her fingertips. My other friend yelled help and ran to get help and the RA literally walked like this was an average day. Then tried to turn her on her back when she was clearly seizing. Get this SHE CALLED THE ON CALL NURSE BEFORE THE AMBULANCE. Mind you this was around nine at night. No one is on shift. While we were on the floor aiding her while the RA was hovering us saying if shes not sure if shes actually passed out LIKE WHAT?! Then she tried to shake her and ask could she walk out to meet the ambulance after calling them last. LIKE LADY SHES UNRESPONSIVE. But anything to protect their brand am I right? Oh and she still works there. In my humble opinion they either need to shut that location down or start over and rehire every staff member except mr ellison, ms brown, and the kind lady next door to her. Everybody else need to go. I’ll tell u my top few. Doctor thomas ( her attitude is not it), Ms.mills (this the one that acted like she couldn’t give my friend medicine when she was literally about to pass out in front of her), Ms. matthews, (she has a very smart mouth and acts like a child), Miss mcdonald (the RA).

If I could give Zero stars I would. My daughter choose this location and had the worst experience with Ms Johnson in admissions thats only been there since October per Mr Webb who defended her Rude aggressive behavior. She didn't even know if they could take required information by fax. She was doing a poor job and totally unacceptable. Mr Webb continued to laugh at my daughter because a text message she sent after being hung up on. I see why they have 2.7 stars and it didn't start with MS. Incompetent JOHNSON. Good luck twith this government funded place not trying to help at all. Would not wish this experience with no one.
